We’re a sisterhood acting in faith to tackle the hard work of the world without hesitation. Driven by God’s love and united in sisterhood, we work to improve the lives of women, children and youth. Every day, we show up. We take action. We get it done. And we invite you to join us.

United Women in Faith seeks to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that they can inspire, influence and impact local and global communities. At Centenary we offer groups known as Circles, which meet on various days and times for educational meetings, book study, service projects and long term fellowship and support.  We invite you to learn more and join us in service and fellowship.

We are a powerful, fearless force driven by God’s love and united in sisterhood. With a focus on women, children and youth, we act for justice and transform communities.

We face the realities we see in the world, even when they are not the ones we would like to see. However, our goal is not to bear witness simply to harms but also to God’s love by acting boldly to change those harms.

Circle 8

Circle 8 meets once a month in a member’s home. We are mothers of young children and early teens. We gather for fellowship and play Mahjong. Our May meeting is a celebration of our fellowship with a salad and dessert potluck luncheon, and in December, we use the UWF General Meeting as our circle meeting. Programs center on a variety of speakers from church staff to representatives from community agencies. Donations are collected at our meetings to assist these agencies as they reach out to women, youth, and children in the community. We enjoy service and fellowship as we meet, and new members are always welcome. Members are around age 60 and over. Contact Circle Leader Susie Smith (336-766-9832, ).

Circle 10

Circle 10 meets at 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in member homes. From June to August, we meet earlier for dinner at a local restaurant. Members take turns hosting and planning informational programs, and our goal is to do something tangible each month to make a difference in the lives of those who need us. We believe that we are "blessed to be a blessing" and are always looking for new members who share our vision. We are cross-generational -- joyful women who are single, married, moms, and grandmothers who all share the great gift of Christian sisterhood, as we do what we can to serve others. Contact Circle Leaders Holly Gilliam (336-473-0692, ) and Libit Glenn (336-631-9382, ).

Our meetings include fellowship as well as a program, which emphasizes missions and non-profit agencies. Our gifts generally go to help local organizations, with a focus on organizations that help women and children. We also provide assistance to the UWF when asked, be it cakes for Arbor Acres or books for the Children's library. Our membership is varied, with a wide range of ages, both working and retired. We invite women looking for a new circle to visit! Contact Circle Leader Beth Bennett Townsend (336-946-9025, ).
