The Senior adults are a very active ministry of Centenary United Methodist Church, in both the church and the local community. With multiple volunteer opportunities, planned trips, luncheons, and numerous other ways to come together the Senior Adult Ministry works hard at forming new bonds among themselves, in the church, and in the community.

If you have any questions about this ministry please contact, Rev. Oliver Helsabeck.

Senior Adult Missions

The Senior Adult Ministry at Centenary United Methodist Church is a loving and caring ministry designed to provide all senior adults an opportunity to participate in a very meaningful ministry. As such we have many exciting missional areas that you can be a part of.

Senior Adult Trips

Whether it’s to a dinner theatre for a time of fun, food, and fellowship, to a museum for learning and engagement, to the NC mountains for a fall adventure, or to many places in-between, Centenary’s Senior Adults enjoy getting together for day trips and spending time celebrating friendship and God’s many blessings in our lives. Look for opportunities for day trips and overnight trips coming soon!

Blooming Blessings Flower Ministry

Every Sunday, the beautiful floral arrangements that have received blessings, prayers, and worship in the sanctuary are broken down by our Altar Guild into smaller arrangements, which are delivered by senior adults to Centenary’s home-based members or those who are experiencing acute needs for assurance and care from our congregation. To volunteer for this care ministry, contact Rev. Oliver Helsabeck.

Senior Adult Luncheon

The Senior Adults enjoy a luncheon on the third Thursday of each month with programs that are interesting, informative, and entertaining.
