As we witness the immense devastation caused by Hurricane Helene across our area, we wanted to share with you initial ways you may help those in need in Western North Carolina. This is a first step. We will be sharing additional channels in the weeks to come.
Monetary Assistance
You can help support the Western North Carolina United Methodist Church recovery efforts directly with your cash donations. There are two ways.
- To donate through the Western Conference website: please CLICK HERE.
- For donations above your normal gifts of tithes and offerings to Centenary, please make checks out to Centenary UMC with HURRICANE HELENE RELIEF in the memo line. Our business office will forward all donations.
Bottled Water & Food Items
Currently we are assisting two teams as they offer relief. One is through the Western Conference and one through the Winston-Salem Police department. There will be more to come in the following weeks.
Please bring all requested items to the 4 1/2 Street entrance lobby no later than Thursday, October 3, at 5:00 pm. Our goal is to completely fill a cube truck which will be delivered on Friday morning, October 4.
