Dr. Anthony Atala Returns to Centenary

Dr. Atala will be the guest speaker for the Centenary Men's Ministry on October 21 (5:30 pm).   

Dr. Atala is the Director of the Wake Forest University Institute for Regenerative Medicine.  He is a world famous surgeon in the area of pediatric urology and researcher in the area of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.  His current work focuses on growing new human cells, tissues and organs to repair or replace those damaged by age, cancer, trauma or abnormal development. Time magazine listed Dr. Atala as the 56th most influential person of the year in 2007!  He has been featured on CBS in a Katie Couric special on advances in medicine.
