Inclement Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, Foundations at 4 ½ Street-Centenary Child Center closings or delays will be posted on WXII Channel 12 and the Centenary UMC website. WXII will list the Center as “Centenary Child Care Center-Winston.”
Individuals may also call the Center phone at 336-723-0189 and the voicemail will detail if there is a closing or delay. If you are on the Foundations e-mail list you will also receive an e-mail if there is a closing or delay.

If the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system CLOSES due to inclement weather, Foundations will open no earlier than 10:00 am.
The center may delay further or close depending on the weather conditions throughout the day.
If the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System is on any length of DELAY due to inclement weather Foundations will open no earlier than 9:00 am.
The center may delay further or close depending on the weather conditions throughout the day.
Foundations may also close early in the afternoon/evening if inclement weather occurs later in the day. Please make sure to be registered on the family email list and that we have current phone contact information. If the Center closes early, families will be emailed, called, and a posting will be listed on Centenary's website as well as WXII's website and television station.
